Charles J Driben, VMD is a 1965 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and owner of the Burl-Moor-Driben Animal Hospital. He is certified in the PennHIP technique for canine hip dysplasia diagnosis and is a past president of both the Southern New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association (SNJVMA) and the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association (NJVMA). He has been recognized as veterinarian of the year by the SNJVMA and has also received the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Award of Merit.
Ian J Driben, VMD is a 2005 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Previously, he received his B.S. in Business Administration from Rutgers University in 1995 and has partially completed their MBA program. If your pet has dental disease or is overweight, Dr. Ian won't be shy in letting you know about it. More importantly he and his staff will help you to improve these health conditions through education and appropiate medical intervention. He feels that these two aspects (oral care/dentistry & nutrition/body condition) of your pet's health can be well cared for at home and should be viewed as preventative maintenance that may add years to your pets health by staving off heart, liver, kidney and orthopedic disease. He enjoys educating his clients about these and various other health and behavior issues that affect many of our pets today. His other special interests include surgery, internal medicine, and volunteering each summer in South Dakota with the Humane Society of the United States' Rural Area Veterinary Services helping to provide veterinary care and education to the Cheyenne River Sioux and the Oglala Sioux Peoples. His current affiliations include the SNJVMA, the NJVMA (executive board member), and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). He currently resides in Cherry Hill with his wife Karen (also a veterinarian, who is currently a cardiology resident (at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital), and their 2 dogs (Rhodesian Ridgeback- Clifford & English Toy Spaniel- Cooper).
Laura A Wausat, VMD was raised in the small rural town of Pine Grove Mills, Pennsylvania. She attended Juniata College, from which she graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in pre-veterinary medicine. After graduation from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1983, she managed her own small animal veterinary practice in Marlton, NJ. She joine the staff Burl-Moor-Driben Animal Hospital in 1985. She is the mother of 3 college/graduate school aged children, and also cares for her husband- Mike, her Pug- Thug, her English Bulldog- Fred, and a pond full of Koi, Comets, and Goldfish. She is a member of the AVMA, Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA), SJVMA, and Delaware Valley Academy of Veterinary Medicine (DVAVM). Dr. Wausat enjoys the challenge of keeping up with the rapid advancements in veterinary medicine, and is especially interested in new developments in internal medicine and diagnostics. She feels strongly that client education and good communication hold the key to providing and excellent quality of life for her patients. Outside the office she particularly enjoys music, gardening, studying art and art history, and candymaking.
Elizabeth E Goedeke, VMD is originally from Pottstown, Pennsylvania. She graduated magna cum laude from Gettysburg College in 2001 with a B.S. in Biology. Dr. Goedeke then attended the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine, from which she graduated in 2005. In her first year as a veterinarian, she worked as a general practitioner at a small animal veterinary hospital in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Dr. Goedeke joined Burl-Moor-Driben Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian in July of 2006. Dr. Goedeke has a specific interest in feline medicine. Upon graduation from veterinary school, she received the Feline Medicine and Surgery Award for her class. She is currently a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), through which she remains informed about current feline diseases and their treatment. Dr. Goedeke is also a member of the AVMA. She also has interests in the fields of soft-tissue surgery, dermatology, and dentistry. Dr. Goedeke currently resides in Moorestown with her cats Gus and Lynn. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running, photography, and international travel.
Megan L Souders, VMD is originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She received a B.S. in Animal Bioscience from Penn State University in 1999. After undergraduate school, she worked as a veterinary technician for 3 years before deciding to continue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Souders attended the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary medicine, from which she graduated in 2007. She has been a member of the BUrl-Moor-Driben Animal Hospital since the summer of 2007. Dr. Souders is a member of the AAFP, AVMA, NJVMA, and PVMA. Dr. Souders has a special interest in feline medicine, internal medicine, dentistry, and surgery; and she thoroughly enjoys interacting everyday with her four-legged patients and two-legged clients. She spends her time outside of work reading, knitting, making jewelry, watching the E-A-G-L-E-S and Phillies and playing with her 3 cats: Allie, Angel, & Ralph. She resides in Philadelphia, where she can be occasionally spotted walking her cat Ralph in Rittenhouse Square.
